It's A Pink & Brown Giraffe!

Shannon Darby aka Pink Wallpaper created and designed this beautiful nursery for her little girl. Her husband helped with the time consuming paint job. Don't you love the color combo? And that giraffe is awesome! Shannon gives us a detailed description: "I was inspired by these vintage giraffe wallpaper cut outs but the colors that the animals were offered in, didn't really fit my nursery scheme...so i took the shape of the giraffe and traced it, blew it up on my copier until the proportions of the giraffe fit nicely on a piece of paper...from there i took it to office depot and had them transfer the image onto projector paper. We rented a projector and traced the enlarged giraffe onto the wall. I decided that dots would look cute w/ the bumper I had already selected. The wall of stripes was a great project and really easy...we got one of those laser things that you hold up and it projects a straight line onto the wall. Once we had our dimensions down it was simply just applying the tape in the right places....one of the best things we did was paint the wall the white color first and then and went and applied the pink and brown on top of it....Another great tip is to take the back of a razor blade and smooth the painters tape down really good so that you get a super straight line. The colors are Ben Moore.... Tickled Pink 2002-50 Plymouth Brown HC-73 My bumper is Dwell Studio, crib is Stokke, and the roman shade fabric is a great organic company- mod green pod."
